Sarah Briggs

Although my background has been in teaching, I always had a strong desire to embark on a counselling career, through my own life experiences and my personal belief that counselling can lead to change and personal growth.

. Ordinary Magic or Learnable Skills (promoting resilience in children)

I have been a volunteer counsellor for Youthline, which is a BACP accredited placement in Bracknell, providing counselling to young people between twelve and twenty-five years old. I have also been a volunteer counsellor for the Place2Be, which offers counselling and emotional support to children in primary and secondary schools.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) which promotes and regulates good practice. I strictly adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and have regular supervision, where I gain support and guidance to enhance the quality of the service I provide. Supervision also focuses on promoting the wellbeing of both client and counsellor in the therapeutic relationship.
